This is a spectacular lightweight boucle...a true couture beauty.

These are usually not hard to identify as they are more complex in design. This particular boucle has a tight weave and open squares, with a grey/green line running horizontally throughout from one selvedge to the other on each side of the open square.

A contrasting lining used here would certainly make the open squares "pop" and create a stable base for the fabric.

It could also be considered a reversible fabric as depending on your preference you could use the "right" side which has a sheen or the "wrong" side which has a more traditional finish or a mix of the two for contrast.

The fabric has a lovely drape, but will need some careful matching, a good choice for a intermediate/advanced sewer.
